Brands
Some brands are good, and are what we recommend. Other brands fall apart easily, and break within a year.
- Good Brands: Pearl, Sankyo, NZWinds, Yamaha.
- Okay Brands: Gemeinhardt, Jupiter, Selmer.
- Bad Brands (don’t buy these): Lark, Henley, Palatino, Fever, America Brand, Ashton, Nuvo, Nightingale, Samick, John Packer, Artley, Armstrong.
Warning!
Do not buy from Trademe, Ebay, Aliexpress, Amazon, or other online places!
Do not buy from overseas! They may be cheaper, but you have no idea how the instrument will sound, and whether it is good quality.
Usually instruments from overseas fall apart after 1 year. They are cheap, and should be avoided.
